The availability of opportunities for new consultants, Veteran volunteers, and student interns is directly influenced by our current project load and the number of project managers overseeing incoming project requests. As we take on diverse and challenging projects across various aspects of cybersecurity and GRC as well as healthcare and financial program management, the need for skilled professionals and eager learners fluctuates accordingly. As a volunteer with ISACTI, you will have the opportunity to assist our project teams in various domains of business-aligned cybersecurity such as network security, endpoint protection, threat intelligence, incident response, security compliance, and vulnerability management. Your prior military and real-world experience will be invaluable as you work alongside our team of industry subject matter experts, helping to fortify our clients' security postures and protect their valuable assets. Whether you are analyzing network traffic for potential threats, implementing endpoint protection measures, gathering and interpreting threat intelligence, responding to security incidents, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, or identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, your contributions will make a significant impact. We are thrilled to offer students the chance to intern with us and gain valuable real-world experience in cybersecurity, business administration, project management, and customer support. As an intern at ISACTI, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside industry subject matter experts on a variety of impactful projects. You may assist with conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, developing and implementing GRC frameworks, and supporting business administration tasks essential to our operations. Additionally, interns will gain hands-on experience in project management, coordinating efforts to ensure timely and successful project completion, and in customer service, helping to maintain strong client relationships. This immersive experience is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in your future career while contributing to the security and integrity of our clients' operations. Job Description: Clinical Information Systems Manager (12-Month Contract)

Location: On-Site (Hospital Setting)

Position Overview

Our client, a respected regional hospital undergoing a major digital transformation, is seeking a skilled Clinical Information Systems Manager for a 12-month contract role. This position will oversee the successful implementation of Epic Systems Electronic Health Record (EHR) across all departments. The selected candidate will lead a cross-functional team of 12 project members—including clinical informaticists, IT analysts, trainers, and department liaisons—ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to Epic.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, hands-on EHR implementation experience (Epic preferred), and a deep understanding of clinical workflows and hospital operations. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on patient care delivery and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the project lead for the full Epic EHR implementation lifecycle, including planning, configuration, testing, training, go-live, and post-implementation support.

  • Manage a multidisciplinary project team of 12 members, fostering collaboration between IT, clinical, and administrative stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with Epic implementation consultants, hospital leadership, and department heads to ensure alignment with clinical goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, timelines, and deliverables across all stages of the implementation.

  • Identify and resolve workflow gaps by aligning Epic functionality with end-user needs across nursing, medical, and ancillary departments.

  • Facilitate change management, communication strategies, and stakeholder engagement to promote user adoption and minimize disruption.

  • Ensure data migration, interface development, and system configuration activities adhere to best practices and Epic guidelines.

  • Oversee system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training programs to ensure readiness for go-live.

  • Provide regular project updates and risk assessments to hospital executives and steering committees.

  • Support stabilization efforts after go-live and participate in planning for system optimization phases.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience managing EHR implementation projects in a hospital or healthcare system, with Epic Systems strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in clinical information systems, project management, or healthcare IT leadership.

  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows, clinical documentation, and healthcare regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, CMS requirements).

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex timelines and deliverables in a clinical setting.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • PMP, CHCIO, or Epic certification(s) highly desirable.

Job Description: Fractional CISO (8-Month Contract)

Position Overview

Our client, a rapidly growing tech company in the SaaS Education space, is seeking an experienced Fractional Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for an 8-month contract. The selected CISO will be responsible for guiding the organization through a full SOC 2 Type 2 cycle, ensuring that all necessary security and compliance measures are in place to pass the audit. This role will involve overseeing the implementation and management of security policies, risk management frameworks, and driving internal teams to ensure continuous compliance with industry standards and SOC 2 requirements. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in driving security programs within fast-paced tech organizations and guiding teams through SOC 2 audits successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization through the full SOC 2 Type 2 audit cycle, ensuring all controls are established, documented, and compliant with SOC 2 criteria.

  • Conduct a gap analysis of current security and compliance practices against SOC 2 requirements and recommend necessary policy and procedural updates.

  • Design and implement a security framework in alignment with SOC 2 requirements, ensuring continuous improvement of internal processes and controls.

  • Coordinate and guide internal teams in preparing evidence, policies, and procedures required for the audit process.

  • Ensure effective risk management practices are implemented and that risks are continuously monitored, documented, and mitigated.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all questions, challenges, and decisions during the SOC 2 audit process.

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders across IT, engineering, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with security objectives and SOC 2 requirements.

  • Provide strategic direction on data security, privacy, and incident management practices, ensuring adherence to industry standards.

  • Educate and train internal teams on best practices for security, compliance, and audit readiness.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CISO, with a strong track record of successfully leading organizations through SOC 2 audits (Type 1 and Type 2) and other security compliance initiatives (e.g., ISO 27001, HIPAA, NIST CSF, PCI-DSS).

  • Deep understanding of SOC 2 criteria and the full audit cycle, including controls design, documentation, and evidence gathering.

  • Strong expertise in information security management, risk management, data privacy, and cloud security with a focus on SaaS environments.

  • Experience in building and managing security frameworks and leading organizations through compliance assessments and audits.

  • Knowledge of best practices for vulnerability management, incident response, third-party risk management, and continuous monitoring.

  • Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and its application in SaaS environments.

  • Hands-on experience in developing security policies, risk assessments, data protection practices, and operational security controls.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and translate technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and drive the security program across the organization.

  • Previous experience in SaaS or technology-driven companies, ideally in education technology, preferred.

Position Overview

We are seeking two highly motivated Data Visualization Interns to work on an exciting data visualization project over the summer. These positions will be a full-time, remote opportunity from June 23rd to September 14th, providing a hands-on experience in data analytics and visualization. The interns will collaborate with a team of analysts to design, build, and enhance interactive data dashboards and reports to support business decisions across various functions.

The project will involve collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets, as well as presenting key insights in a meaningful and visually compelling way. These interns will have the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting and gain valuable experience working with modern data visualization tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to understand project requirements and define data visualization objectives.

  • Clean, prepare, and analyze large datasets to extract key insights for visualization.

  • Develop interactive data dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.

  • Collaborate with senior analysts to ensure data integrity and consistency across visualizations.

  • Create detailed documentation of data sources, transformation processes, and visualization designs.
